Silver and Sculpture
Most of my Jewelery is inspired by the Art Nouveau period..I just love the flow and the romance of the times.I noticed that many of the pieces in the Lord Of the Rings-trilogy are also inspired by this period.
I collected the mother of pearl and paua shells on one of my trips to Broome in the far north of Western Australia.

Soroptimist President Jewel
commisioned by Cambridge SI
Stirling Silver and enamel
5cm x8cm

I was particularly thrilled with the outcome of this piece, as doing 'commissions' can be a rather daunting experience, as most of the people commisssioning the piece know what they want , but often don't know how to describe or convey their wants. This piece represents the 6 aims of Soroptimism as well as the club members wanted to include the ocean, beach, parks and the Swan River-and some typical gum leaves
I am very happy with this commission , as the comments that came back were along the lines"it is EXACTLY what we wanted'.
Real Rox
As a director of a gold mining company, I was commisioned to make a peice suitable for a mining company office.
So these came about..they are all made from raku clay a very coarse clay. Plus they have seams of gold running through them.Althought the gold is 100% REAL, the rox are not.
But I still laugh at the number of 'expert' geologists, who were thoroughly convinced these were a natural rock.
Bes the God of Fertility-Raku clay and opal eyes
This little fellow is supposed to be a God of fertility... I know , I know...
but I enjoyed sculpting him from Raku clay...he has Opal eyes.
Box -Pigeon Coop- clay
I just love the Art Nouveau period it was such a graceful and romantic period.
Storm and Lightening-vase
This vase won an award from the Claremont School of Art-ceramics department in 1985
Ten-moku bowl
The japanese glaze of ten moku blends in very well here with 18 ct pure gold embellishments
Bes-egyptian God Of Fertility
I take on commisions, please email me with your request
Shabati-
This is a shabati or servant to the dead Kings of Egypt. This is made in Egyptian paste.
Christ
Jarrah Picket Fence Pailing

This piece was inspired by the Head of Christ in the Louvre in Paris.I acquired some picket fence pailings which were in fact made from jarrah...a VERY hard wood, by the time I got this it had hardened considerably more-so was very hard to carve. It is in the collection of a Baptist Minister from Texas-USA
